The Harbour · St Ives

Whatever the boats bring in

A short menu written each morning after the fish auction, a dining room that watches the tide, and a kitchen that believes restraint is a flavour.

The day boat decides the menu. We just try to keep up.

The dining room

Twenty-six seats, one view

Linen, candlelight and the harbour doing its slow theatre outside. We seat two sittings an evening and never rush either — the table is yours for the night. Dogs allowed at the two window tables at lunch, because this is still Cornwall.

From the pass

Scallops, brown butter
Oysters on ice
Line-caught fish, plated
Spring greens

Dinner here is the best argument I know for letting the sea write the menu.
