Our work

Alderley Edge

The garden that ate a lawn

A tired half-acre of grass became four rooms: a gravel garden that shrugs off drought, a dining terrace under a pergola, deep June borders, and a wild corner the hedgehogs claimed within a month. Eight weeks on site; the client's only regret is the lawn lasted forty years.

Knutsford

Small, north-facing, glorious anyway

A shaded courtyard everyone had given up on. Ferns, hydrangeas and a mirror trick with water later, it's the most-photographed room of the house. Proof that difficult light is a brief, not a verdict.

They didn't give us a garden. They gave the house a reason to have windows.
